Pretty in Pastel...

Have a look at this oh so cute ruffle cake we made for a pastel themed bridal shower. The vanilla sponge was done in  pink ombre layers, so it was even prettier when cut. Wish we could have gotten a picture of that! All decor for the event was done by our fav events company, The Cutest Party on the Block.

We added a touch of whimsical with this soft pink lace bunting.

We also made these yummy vanilla cupcakes and marshmallow pops for the event. Sweet, simple and delicious!

Sofia turns 1!

The Bakeshop's newest collaboration with events company The Cutest Party on the Block (TCP on the B) was Sofia's first birthday party. And it was an event fit for a perfect little princess.
The Bakeshop did all the baked goodies for this party so it was a very busy weekend for us!

The Birthday Cake: A two tier vanilla sponge ruffle cake. The ruffles were created with vanilla buttercream.

Ribbon roses made out of fuchsia fondant....

Buntings played a big role in the decor of the party, so we decided to add a mini version on the cake. The patterned paper used to create the large buntings was also used to create these mini ones, so it was a perfect match...

Mini Bird Cage Cake: At the Bakeshop we are obsessed with bird cage cakes! Sofia's party was the perfect event for us to create on of these whimsical beauties...
The vintage look of the cake really complimented the look of the party and we were very happy with the result. Have a look and let us know what you think!

The cake was chocolate sponge covered in a layer of vanilla buttercream...

Vanilla Cake Pops: covered in pink chocolate and finished off with fuchsia and white flowers.

Marshmallow Pops: A new favourite at the Bakeshop! the perfect addition to any sweet table!

Cupcakes: Patterned paper used in the decor of the party was used to make these mini flags which were the perfect topper for the cupcakes.

We're loving these pink and blue cupcake cases that we found for this event. So Cute!

Here is a sneak peak of the decor done by The Cutest Party on the Block. Keep an eye out on their blog for more pictures of the event to be posted soon.

A Vanilla sponge ruffle cake was also made for the engagement party, finished off with the cutest gold paper doilie bunting!
