Cupcakes take the Cake!

This weekend the Bakeshop was busy with a wedding cake order for a lovely couple Jay & Steph!
They wanted a cupcake stand topped with an elegant square cake. The colour scheme was purple and white, and the couple wanted hearts to be the main element on the cupcakes. Cupcakes were vanilla sponge with a vanilla buttercream and the top cake was a rich chocolate sponge filled with a decadent chocolate cream, and covered with white fondant.
Congratulations Jay and Steph! We're so glad we got to a part of your special day!

Regal Wedding!!

Its wedding time at the Bakeshop!!!! I recently received an order for a wedding cake in ivory and regal purple. What a rich combination!! I was really excited to do this one as, to me, there's no cake more special than a couple's wedding cake.
I used a simple design using handmade roses to tie in the purple, and pearls to add a touch of glamour.
The bottom tier was rich chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and the top tier a creamy vanilla cake covered in vanilla buttercream.
Congratulations to the happy couple!!

Cookies to match the wedding cake. These make great wedding favours. Or even as a little gift to your bridesmaids.
