This pile of vintage books was designed as a wedding cake for couple Ridwaan and Rehana. The couple opted for a far less traditional cake, and this was the result....

Nursery Rhyme Fun! Yusuf is 1!
This weekend my nephew, Yusuf, celebrated his 1st Birthday! I cannot believe how time has flown by! To celebrate this special day my sister thought it would be great to invite everyone over for some nursery rhyme fun.
Keep an eye out on The Cutest Party on the Block for pictures of the cute nursery rhyme themed decor created for the party.
The cake, of course, had to be extra Extra EXTRA special! This is what we created for him...
The idea and inspiration for this cake was from a cake by Rebecca Sutterby of Sugar Creations. Follow the link on her site to her flickr account to have a look at her beautiful creations.
We also made vanilla cupcakes with bunting directions made in the exact pattern of the real buntings used at the party.

The pages of the book were designed to match with the printables used in the decor of the party.
All aspects of the cake were hand made by the Bakeshop and 100% edible.
Have a look at this super cool doughnut tower we created... The Bakeshop will now be adding this to our list of wonderful sweet treats on offer.
Each tower holds around 100 doughnut rounds which your guest can easily pick off and enjoy.

Graduation!!!!
My best friend Aadila recently graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting Science Degree. (She's a real brain!)
At the Bakeshop we celebrate all major occasions with cake! So of course, I had to make her an amazing graduation cake!
Even Baby Yusuf, my nephew, got in on the action!
